This February is Camden & Islington LGBT History Month 2014, run as usual by the Camden LGBT Forum. From their website:
"2014 marks the 8th LGBT history month program that we have put on as a Forum. Each year we have more and more exciting activities, talks, exhibitions and parties to add to our guide and this year is no exception! Like the last three years, this year’s History Month is a join initiative with Islington Council."
The full program is available on their website. A pdf form of the booklet is also available. The event compromises some 50 events all the way through February and beyond. A highlight of some of the events include:
- TransLondon on the 18th of February: Roz Kaveney reads from the next book in her fantasy series.
- Loudest Whispers - LGBT Art Gallery running from the 10th of February to the 31st of March, at the Conference Centre, St Pancras Hospital
- Closing Night Extravaganza - 28th February - The History Month always closes with a big party and this year will be no exception with the big event at the Camden Centre
- Rachael's Cafe - The trans-themed play about an American transwoman's attempt to open a cafe in deepest Bible-belt America is on at the Red Lion Theatre.
Additionally, there's concerts, musicals and various discussion groups to be had.
